Genesis ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) is a registered a non-profit organization (Registration Number 122-717 NPO). The organisation is registered by six directors/trustees and has one fully functional branch (Bloemfontein) and three satellite branches (Polokwane, Potchefstroom and Kimberly).

Our mission is to improve the lives of many South Africans by selflessly and passionately dedicating and giving ourselves, resources and time on daily basis.
Our History
Genesis ARK was founded in January 2009 in Bloemfontein by a group of young and influential students from the University of the Free State (UFS).
The motivation of the establishment of the organization was based on the 67 year Nelson Mandela gave of his life selflessly to fight the injustices is South Africa and create a better life for all that live in it. Today, every year on the 18th of July, each individual is urged to take 67 minutes of their day and do something for someone else or for a better cause. This is part and parcel of what inspired a group of young influential people to be proactive and aim to make everyday a Nelson Mandela Day, and this urge to help and contribute to society was the birth of Genesis ARK.
Genesis ARK; not only aims at providing the basic needs to the less fortunate, but also aims at equipping those that it reaches out to with skills and resources that will help them sustain themselves in the long run, once their basic needs have been provided for. Genesis ARK embraces the responsibility of addressing these basic, core issues.
